Dear choristers all over the world,

A very warm welcome to you all………

For all of us, the every-day life has changed significantly due to the global Covid-19 pandemic. As the many questions are popping up on how schools will continue through this situation, the choirs around the nations find themselves puzzling a question as well. It ends up with participation and attendance of live music performance, including choir performance, that have been decreasing because of the lockdown policy in many countries.

However nothing can ever stop us from singing. In this situation, the technological development of online and virtual performance has become an oasis in the desert for us.
Singing through the screen then helps our longings. As such, we are now able to perform together again, live or virtually, and share our music to the world.

Hence, BPK PENABUR Jakarta is excited to launch The 2022 PENABUR INTERNATIONAL CHOIR FESTIVAL – PICF 2022. PICF 2022 will be held in 2 versions (Virtual and Online) from 5-10 September 2022. We strive to unite choirs across the world through our shared passion to sing!

Choirs & individual delegates from all over the world are happily welcome to participate.
We hope that PICF 2022 would become an icon of our hope and spirit to bring joy to everybody in the midst of this difficult time.

Let’s hold hands and walk the journey together. Like Helen Keller said, alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.
